Chapter 7 – New Day Dawning

Salvation

The teachings of Jesus were the first time a harmonious system of advanced spiritual concepts was presented to our native planet.[1] These teachings of Jesus were entirely based upon his spiritual acquirements. As a human being his mind developed gigantic proportions.[2] His wisdom and knowledge were expansive, giving his teachings depth. The faith of Jesus was total, he trusted his Father in all things; his faith was in the certainty of his Father’s guidance and with this faith in his heavenly Father’s protection, he knew he was totally secure.[3] He lived the truth and also taught the truth for an entire age on earth.[4] He truly loved all sorts of human beings.[5] The consequence of his teachings was they brought spiritual comfort to the believers. Included in this comfort was a feeling of tranquility; the believers knew peace in their hearts. The teachings brought an intellectual certainty; they knew their Heavenly Father as a personal experience in their lives. The morality Jesus taught was based upon the individual’s relationship with the Heavenly Father and the morality of any act was based on the motive.[6] His philosophy was all about growth; it did not include religious introspection.[7]

The most dramatic aspect of his teachings is the promise of salvation for believers. This is a total salvation, an all-encompassing salvation.

There is salvation from the fetters of material life.[8] As we fully believe these teachings we attain sonship with our Father. Since our Father is spirit, this means we are becoming more like spirit and therefore begin our deliverance from the material life.

We gain intellectual salvation because we shall know the truth which shall set us free.[9] No longer can we be held back by formalized and dogmatized religions; now we know all of us can have a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father who is with each one of us at all times.

We also have salvation from spiritual darkness; we realize we are all sisters and brothers. We have a shared humanity with all the people of the earth.[10] We all have the same creator Father, all mankind is related and we begin to show this brotherhood in our loving service to each one of our Earthly siblings.

We obtain salvation from our present incomplete status.[11] We earthly mortals are obviously lacking in many things but the teachings of Jesus brings us above these limitations, we now are delivered from this incomplete state as we realize our eternal future in the service of our Father. Perfection is our eternal goal, obviously not our present state. We now are liberated from these confining mortal fetters!

We even have salvation from our self.[12] Our mortal awareness, our consciousness, is limited by our material body, but with these teachings we are liberated and have salvation from these limitations. We now attain cosmic levels of mind and awareness. We rise above ourselves.

We now have salvation from time itself.[13] When we fully enter into the heavenly family we receive the gift of eternal life; we now have the opportunity of an unending existence growing in our awareness of our Heavenly Father, growing in our becoming more like Him and an ever increasing service to those around us.

There is in addition salvation from the finite.[14] Our Father is infinite; therefore as we draw closer to Him we can progress to states of being beyond the finite. The exact nature of such an experience is beyond the capacity of our mortal brains; suffice it to say the salvation offered us is a salvation from everything limiting us in any way. This salvation goes beyond mere eternal life, the salvation offered in our heavenly family is liberation from our demeaning mortal existence and ushers us into fellowship with our earthly fellows as well as an eternal life filled with growth and service. This salvation is truly replete. This is total salvation.
